We are currently accepting applications for 2 frozen semen test breedings in early 2012: one for *Gun Smoke (purebred only) and one for Balmullo's Beacon (non-Connemara is OK).

Approximately 50 registered Connemaras and Connemara halfbreds carry either the "Foothills" purebred or the "Piedmont" halfbred registered prefix.
These horses and ponies were bred from breeding stock with excellent pedigrees, which include both Irish and American Connemaras. Our breeding program produces Connemaras with the talent and athleticism demanded of today's market, as well as the hardiness, conformation, substance,temperament and type required to meet ACPS Inspection Standards and Approval.

ABILITY: We breed Connemaras that have proven themselves to be versatile, intelligent and talented. You may find Foothills and Piedmont Connemaras used for pleasure (trails, family fun), show (hunters, jumpers, dressage, western) and sport (driving, eventing, foxhunting, endurance). DISPOSITION: We produce foals that are gentle, sensible, willing, people-oriented and adaptable. A great temperament is non-negotiable in our program.

HARDINESS: Substance of body and bone with great feet, heart and lung are of primary importance.

TYPE: All of our breeding stock is presented for inspection and approval by the American Connemara Pony Society. We strive to produce attractive foals with correct conformation together with true Connemara type required of reputable breeders.

PIEDMONT CONNEMARAS: Our halfbreds are primarily Thoroughbred crosses by our Connemara stallions and out of athletic, correct and sensible Thoroughbred mares. We enjoy producing these crosses for the growing market of, generally, adult women, often with careers and families, who want to be competitive, safe and successful, while having a wonderful time on their well-matched mounts (not to large, not too small, not too fast, not too slow, JUST RIGHT!).
