6th place Preliminary Single Pony at the 2014 Indiana CDE 8/30-31/14
Finished 8th o/o 12 after dressage and cones (no balls down but had 6 time penalties); was 3rd in marathon (awesome run with no time penalties), finished in 6th place. Charlie was fantastic gator!

2014 Indiana Combined Driving Event, Hoosier Horse Park
Foothills Hopefilly: whip, Vanessa Morgan - navigator, Charlie Morgan

Finished in 6th in a highly contested field with only a few time faults in cones; this was our 1st recognized start in the Preliminary Single Pony divison.

July 2014: I am very please to report that Foothills Hopefilly performed very well at the Middle TN Carriage Club HDT last weekend. This was our first go at Preliminary and we ended up in 2nd place!
You can read the full details of our outing at the 2014 MTCC.

Foothills Hopefilly (C.R. Roaringwater Bay x Blue Hills Morning Star) finished 2nd at her first Horse Driving Trials (HDT) in the Preliminary Single Pony division at the Middle Tennessee Carriage Club HDT schooling show at Percy Warner Park in Nashville. Vanessa was driving, with husband Charlie navigating. What a blast! I was so proud of Hope. She attacked the hazards like a pony 1/2 her age (the same can be said of the whip and gator:-) BTW, this was only Charlie's second time navigating, he remembered all the gates and did a great job! This was also the first go at Prelim for all 3 of us. We have decided that we are not moving back to Training; Prelim is much more exciting, though MUCH more competitive at the recognized ADS CDEs. We are going for the fun, not the ribbons, but placing always makes it a bit more fun.

4th place - Training Single Pony at the Indiana CDE, Hoosier Horse Park, September 2011:

Vanessa Morgan finished in 4th place with Foothills Hopefilly in the Training Single Pony division of the Indiana CDE on Labor Day weekend. The event was at the Hoosier Horse Park. Son, Dillon Morgan, was the navigator. This was Dillon's first-ever equine competition and he was fantastic, keeping his mom on course and on time through all 3 marathon phases. Hope again proved what a fantastic, reliable pony she is with double-clear rounds in cones and marathon.

I wish I was smiling to show how much fun I was having:-) When I concentrate (i.e. staying on course in dressage), I look way too serious!

May 2010, Hopefilly went to training with Ashley Jenkins to learn to drive. Ashley writes, "Yes, we have pulled the drag and all it merited was one ear-flick back and then we went on like we've always been pulling noisy, rattling singletrees. We are going to keep doing it some more this week, but we are going to do our first basic intro to the cart tomorrow (I'll have someone walking it around the ring while we are in there-in front of her, beside her, behind her, rub her sides with the shafts, put the shafts in the tugs and take them out a few times, etc). That will determine how soon we actually hitch her. So far she has taken everything in stride beautifully."

Hope was in the pre-beginner division and did well winning 1 blue and 2 reds. Jenny Chandler on Hope (7/06):
