A great year for Dana and Bucky (3/09)

Congratulations to Dana Norquist of Germantown, MD and Foothills Waterman (Concord River Roaringwater Bay x Misty Meadows Miss Bonnie ). Dana says, “We really had a great year! Our year-end tally included: Fifth, USEA Master Amateur Rider; fourth, Novice Rider USEA Area II; Reserve Champion MCTA Novice Horse of the Year; and MCTA Champion Novice Senior Rider of the Year . I couldn't be happier with my Connemara partner. We are getting ready for this year.”

Foothills Waterman ("Bucky") and Dana Norquist placed fifth in Waredaca's Novice Master's Division in October. "Bucky and I have had a great season. We have been in the ribbons every time we have competed. We finishedfirst at MCTA at Shawan Downs with the lowest MCTA senior member dressage score for the day, winning the Jackson Hold Farm Trophy. We also finished first at the Marlborough Horse Trials and second at Rubicon Spring Horse Trials. Topping the season off, Bucky has earned enough points for his Silver ACPS Lifetime Achievement Award in eventing. " (11/08)

Dana Norquist finished on her dressage score of 36.8 in 17th place out of a very tough field of 50 starters in the Open Beginner Novice American Eventing Championships held at the Carolina Horse Park, Sept. 20-24, 2006.

Bucky's first year as an eventer was a Banner year (12/05)

The first thing I wanted to say to you all this time is that I LOVE Bucky to death! From the first minute I saw him in Southern Pines, I knew he was the one for me! He is SUCH a BLAST!

In addition to the shows you saw in the Region III, newsletter, in September, we won our Beginner Novice Division at the Weave a Dream Horse Trails, and were second in our Beginner Novice Division at Seneca Pony Club Horse Trails.

For the United States Eventing Associate Year End Awards (USEA), we finished USEA Area II Reserve Grand Champion Adult Amateur Beginner Novice Division, and for the entire USEA, Beginner Novice Masters Division we finished sixth! Dana N

New owner and career change for 'Bucky' (7/05)
Dana Norquist (above) and Foothills Waterman are new to Region III. "Bucky" was purchased from Jennifer Beyer of Elizabethtown, NC, in February to be an eventer. Jennifer had trained and shown him in dressage up to Second Level. In Dana's hands he was second in the Pre-Beginner Novice at Fair Hill, Champion Suitable Field Hunter at the York Country Day School Horse Show (PA) and fifth in Beginner Novice at the Waredaca USEA Horse Trials.
