Our pony is growing up: 14.1 now and learning quickly. He looks better than the photos show. We are working on ground driving now and he is learning much faster than I am. I have never driven before. I have to tell you a story about Dillon I found quite amazing. Yesterday we had a lesson in the round pen. After we finished, my trainer and I turned Dillon loose in the pen and stepped just outside the pen where we were talking not paying attention to Dillon. My trainer had left her
lunge whip in the middle of the areana on the ground. I was watching, when Dillon noticed it. He walked over to it, picked the whip up in his mouth at the
handle. Then with it extended straight out to the side, he walked calmly over to us, put his head down and almost through the pen with the whip still in his mouth and held it out for my trainer to take from him. I was amazed - it was almost as if he was saying "here this is yours and you left it in here". I promise we have not trained him to retrieve! July 2010
A very nice lady flew out from Ft.Worth to take a look at
Blue Jay
(by *Gun Smoke) and he is now sold pending a vet exam. I think this will be an excellent home for him. He is such a sweet and good boy. Warm regards, Sue (April 09)
