Pleasure Is Mine

It was very nice to talk with you this week. To recap, Pleasure and Laura went to a local ETHJ Association show on September 7 at Coytee Farm in Greenback, TN. They entered the beginner hunter, beginner equitation, and mini-hunters classes with the following results:
Beginner Hunter: Over Fences - 2d place, Under Saddle - 5th place
Beginner Equitation: Over Fences - 1st place, Under Saddle - 4th place
Reserve champion overall for beg. equit.
Mini-hunter: Over Fences - 2d place

Under saddle - 6th place
(I should have mentioned that each of the classes they entered had 13 - 18 entrys so even the 6th place was in the top 1/3 of the group they were judged against.)

I expect the Under Saddle results will improve as they both gain more experience in the ring and in dealing with groups of strange horses. We were thrilled with these results since they're both relatively
inexperienced.

Pleasure is a real joy to own and to work with. Laura scolds me for spoiling her horse (she's correct, I'm sure), but I keep explaining that carrots are an important source of vitamin A and that apples are also very nutritious. We compromise (usually) by putting the treats in her bucket, rather than feeding her by hand. Ann (9/02)

Hi Vanessa, I've been enjoying the Regional newsletter this year. Have been meaning to drop you a line. Pleasure is doing really well and is just as beautiful as ever. She is so incredibly sweet. I wish we had a farm so I could be the one greeting her every morning. Pleasure has not been shown yet, but will likely make her "debut" with Laura at a local show (Noah's Ark)on July 27. We've been on the go a lot this spring. We saw Gunsmoke on your web site just after Christmas, and he has me drooling. Is he in Tennessee now, or still in Georgia? I'd love to see him sometime.  'Pleasure' has a new home (6/01)
'
Pleasure Is Mine' is now living with her new owner at Hunter Hollow in Loudon, TN. Her new rider/owner Laura Eskew and mom, Anne Dickie, of Knoxville, TN, found Pleasure a couple months ago. After much deliberation, they concluded that Pleasure was the nicest horse and a really good match for Laura. Congratulations to them all.

ETCTDA Schooling Dressage Show at River Glen (5/5/01)

Pleasure's second horse show.

Pleasure Is Mine attended her first horse show last weekend (4/21/01) and she was very good. She finished 3rd in USDF Intro Test I and 4th in USDF Intro Test 2.
