Subject: Bobby Brown - I'm following up on the question about Bobby Brown. Who ever posted it didn't identify themselves so I'm not sure who I'm speaking to and where you are. Bobby Brown stands in Orange, VA and has been owned for many years by Zan Thomas who is very active in Pony Club in that area. He has been actively fox hunted, evented, Pony Clubbed, and used as a lesson horse, though he is more or less retired from riding now as he is in his mid 20's. His offspring, particularly his half breds, have been very successful in the hunter ring. I haven't heard of any eventers or jumpers but I don't really know much about his get. Zan would be glad to talk with you if you were to give her a call. She's listed in the ACPS directory. I bred my two purebred mares to him twice, and also a TB mare, and got some really lovely foals. He has a lovely head, lots of bone and stands over alot of ground. Perhaps a little too long in the back but with tons of neck and shoulder to balance it out. When I was first looking for a stallion to breed to I was attracted by the fact that he had led such a useful life and had been ridden and shown alot by kids.
